Bernina MEGA BRACKET

The MEGA BRACKET option was developed at the request of Bernina customers who purchased the Bernina Co. Mega Hoop. It simplifies, speeds up and allows the easy use of the Mega Designs and other large designs. It adds 2 more square areas between the 2 rounded ends of the large design field. It has a SLIDING BASE ( 320 mm long ) with 3 positions like the Bernina Mega Hoop and a second sliding bracket to attach to the Embroidery unit. The complete 2 part bracket can be used on all 4 Bernina Artista and Aurora HOOP IT ALL models.

The MEGA BRACKET is Item # H0293 at $149.95, MSRP and is made to be used on Artista 730, 200,  640, 630, Aurora 430E, 440QE, (EC on PC 2.0). The Mega  Bracket fits on the Big Cap Multi-purpose, Super Giant Long, 8.5" x 23", Giant  Quilters Square 14” and the Giant Super Long, Double-wide Hoops,14 “x 23".

It can be ordered as an optional accessory   It's use is explained below.

It will not work on the Artista 185E,165, 180 and 170.

Bernina Brackets Explained !
There are 3 brackets for the Bernina artista 730, 200, 630, 640 and Aurora, 440, 430 machines.
The Mounting BRACKETS connect your Embroidery Unit to the HOOP IT ALL SLIDING FRAME. If you have any of the Sliding hoops from Hoop-It-All, you received a Mounting Bracket with your kit. Determine which bracket you ordered with your hoop kit and see below for information on how it and the other brackets work,  that are available for your machine.

Standard Bracket

With our standard bracket your machine thinks it is using your machine’s oval hoop. This is important for using small and medium designs.

The oval hoop, has an oval shaped sewing area. See the yellow shaded area, illustration. (a)

If you want to sew out a rectangle shaped design that completely fills int the entire hoop sewing field. using our hoops and you use the standard bracket you will be forced to split your design into 145mmx119mm squares (To blend designs these measurements may not be used.) Refer to the blue area on the template image shown within the hoop illustration. (a)

  

The Super Giant Double-Wide hoop is more than 4 times larger than your machine's oval hoop.
 

This means that in order to fill in the entire area of our
Super Giant Double-Wide hoop, you would need to
split into 8+ sections. (b)

 

 

 

 

Mega Mounting Bracket


The Mega Bracket tells your machine that you are using the Bernina Mega Hoop.

Your machine is designed to protect you from sewing out a design larger than the hoop’s sewing area.

When you enter a design that is larger than your hoop’s sewing area, the Mega Bracket tells the machine that the design must be split into sections. Illustration ( d )

Your machine automatically splits the design and then tells you when to slide the hoop to the each position that is shown within your machine’s editing screen.

  

The benefit of using our Mega Bracket, is that you can use our hoops and the machine thinks it is using your machine’s Mega Hoop.

Our Super Giant Long and Super Giant Double-Wide hoops are much longer than your Mega hoop. ( c)

The ( C) Illustration can be done while setting the SLIDING BRACKET in the #2 Position, to get a 6" x 10" sewing field, from one position.

Our hoops allow you to slide anywhere along the hoop rails. Our Mega hoop slides just as your Mega Hoop into 3 positions and the bracket slides onto the rails.Note that there is extra space beyond the Blue Mega Hoop area that can also be filled in with embroidery.

 

The third Mounting Bracket is the BONUS BRACKET, which works like Illustration (C).
