1) They use magnets. Hoop it All hoops/FREE FRAMES contain (0) Magnets. If your machine has a drop in bobbin it is held down using a light magnet. If you place a larger magnet on top of the bed of the machine, you can cause your bobbin case to slightly float above the shelf it rests on. If this happens you will experience increased thread problems, such as: Skipped Stitches, Looped Stitches, Pulling down of needle thread and shredding of thread above the needle eye. read more...
